NWOEA is offering two excellent
training opportunities for your members on Tuesday, August 11, 2009.
Our first offering is a
training session for Local Leaders. The training is designed so
that participants can increase their knowledge and/or comfort level
with the job of being a Local Leader. The Local Leader
Training Workshop will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2009 in the
Endley Room in the University of Findlay Student Union. Registration
will begin at 8:30 a.m. with the workshop starting at 9:00 a.m. and
concluding about 12:00 p.m. An Italian buffet lunch will be
served in the South Half of the Multi-Purpose Room in the Student
Union at the conclusion of the training. There is no charge for this
workshop or the lunch.
Our second offering is our
annual association leadership-training program for new and veteran
treasurers. Other local officers are also invited to
attend. This program is designed to assist treasurers and/or local
officers to better understand the duties of the office of treasurer.
Attendance at this OEA sanctioned Treasurers Workshop is a
requirement for the OEA Fiscal Fitness Award. The Treasurers
Workshop will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 in the North Half
of the Multi-Purpose Room in the University of Findlay Student
Union. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. with the workshop
starting at 9:00 a.m. and concluding about 12:00 p.m. A
drawing will be held, and OEA will pay the OEA portion of the
unified dues for two lucky attendees. An Italian buffet lunch will
be served in the South Half of the Multi-Purpose Room in the Student
Union at the conclusion of the training. There is no charge
for this workshop or the lunch.
